So.

A while back talked about a thing with his mutation still developing he ends up discovering that he can form a type of armor similar to the texture of his metal-like arms around himself as a defense mechanism.
You can tell where some of the inspiration in design came from… But I did have a thing in this where Hedlok was something derived a bit from Spring Man in the first place since he has similar metallic spring arms (and possible was unstable bc of Spring’s DNA ending up unstable mutation wise..)

Hedlok probably tries to make some comparison of Jake to himself but he’s nothing like him of course. Although… he’d start to question it with time. Think he’d still come to the conclusion that Hedlok is just a dick and kicks his ass at some point in a huge brawl (what the top 2 pics are)

Seeing himself looking like this would always be super jarring and every time he looks at his reflection he gives himself a mini heart attack bc he forgets. Every time… Poor guy...
